This is the scene of The Crossing of the Red Sea. I like this painting because it has two different pictures of Moses, but on the same painting. I also like the different colors that the painter put in the painting. It makes it stand out. This picture reminds me about what I learned about Moses when I was little in Bible School. I like that the painting shows Moses leaning toward the army of Pharoah. The Other Moses is watching them cross the Red Sea. God causes strong winds to separate the water so they could cross. When Egyptian army went to cross He released the water and drowned the whole Egyptian army in the Red Sea. Im amazed how God could separate a whole sea just for his people to cross. I wish I could separate the Atlantic Ocean so I can go to the Caribbean. What do you think about this painting?
The image is not here - try posting it again. This painting tells such a great narrative and allows for figurative painting a very restricted culture.
